Thirty eight triples teams took part in the Home Nations qualifier event on Sunday 12th May 2024 at Rainworth PC near Mansfield, all hoping to represent England at the Home Nations Championship later this year. Kent were well represented with around 15 members making the trip.
The format was a 5 round Swiss system and the top 8 teams at the end qualify to play for England in the Home Nations tournament.
Congratulations go to Jason White and Kai Sheffield who along with teammates Leslie Gardiner and Gareth Sullivan won all 5 matches and finished as England 1.
The all Kent team of Becky Edwins, Tim Edwins, Steve Brown and Scott Ashby won 4 out of 5 matches and will play as England 3.
Aston Monk, alongside Ben Campbell & Drew Roe also won 4 out of 5 matches and will be England 5 at the Home Nations tournament.
This year the tournament is being held at Liberation PC in Jersey in August. Scotland & Wales make up the quartet of teams vying for the coveted trophy. We wish all our Kent representatives, and all England teams well for the tournament!
