Crown Jewels PC are sad to report the sudden death of John Hines.

John was well known to many people and clubs in Kent. He played for the Crown pub in Chislehurst and then moved to Tovil PC, near Maidstone, before later on joining Istead Rise PC and then moving back to the Crown. John also played in many Sunday competitions and the Kent regional series, including representing Kent at the Inter Regional Championships on a number of occasions.

John’s funeral will be held on Friday 20th February at 3:00pm at Blue Bell Crematorium, London Road, Halstead, TN14 7AE. Afterwards the get together will be at the Warren Petanque Club where John ended up playing.

Family flowers only but there is going to be a charity collection too, the dress code doesn’t have to be black, just appropriate colour.

If you wish to attend please email Barbara Middleton (barbara4747@outlook.com) to let her know so they can get a rough idea of numbers for catering purposes.
