Although Pétanque England did not publish the national calendar until January 10th, I am very pleased to confirm that the Kent playing calendar was published last night January 29th. This is the latest I have received a calendar from PE in 7 or 8 years as Chair of the Kent Playing Committee. There has been a lot of communication behind the scenes to agree dates and venues for KPA events. Thank you for your patience and the flexibility of clubs to accommodate changes in a busy calendar.

All events are now under the Events section of this website.

There are no Sundays available to the KPA in April or June, and 3 Sundays available in May have all been used. As has been recent practice there are no events scheduled for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or Easter Sunday to promote family life.

The Kent Playing calendar is not quite complete. The Singles and Shooting need to be added as well as the KPL Handicap Triples and a Division 2 and below Doubles competition.

Please consider entering a team into the Regional Qualifiers series to qualify to represent Kent at the Inter Regional Championships in September at Weston Super Mare. There are 4 Kent regional qualifiers with your best 3 results days counting. It is a wonderful weekend of competitive boules and renewing friendships made over the years. This year Kent are defending Champions so we need hungry, competitive players to try and qualify and retain our title! If you need help making a team speak with Dean Ashby, Barry Menzies or any committee member.

Good luck for the season!
