Sorry no pictures – too much drizzle!
The over 60’s competition held at Hartley on 27th February, an open event, was very well attended with 36 players playing in 18 doubles teams. Weather was a bit drizzly and mild for the time of year. The format of the day was 2 timed games of 45 minutes in the morning followed by an hour for lunch. This was followed at once after lunch by the popular 10-minute Jack throwing competition, this month to win strawberries and cream or strawberries without cream. Then 2 timed games of 45 minutes the final game having the jack replaced with a Haribo giant strawberry. The day started at 10:10am and finished including presentation of prizes by 3:30pm.
