The Weekday Over 60’s competition held at Hartley on 27th March, an open event, was very well attended, with 36 players playing in 18 doubles teams. The weather was cooler than usual for the time of year. The format of the day was 2 timed games of 45 minutes in the morning followed by an hour for lunch. This was followed at once after lunch by the popular 10-minute Jack throwing competition, this month to win a seasonal Easter egg! Then 2 timed games of 45 minutes, the final game having the jack replaced with a mini cream egg! The day started at 10:10am and finished including presentation of prizes by 3:30pm.
