The Kent Winter League is progressing well and now half of the season is completed. Thanks to everyone for playing in competitive but friendly spirits thus far. Last Wednesday 17th December saw the cup & plate quarter finals take place.
In the plate, Duke of Wellington Grenadiers and Harrow Haflingers recorded comfortable 3-1 victories over Crown Jewels and Tudor Rose respectively. The other two quarter finals were much tighter affairs, both coming down to points difference after finishing 2-2! Lordswood Frozen got the job done against New Ash Green 44-31 and Hartley Braves beat Istead Rise by the narrowest of margins 35-34!
The cup quarter finals saw the same set of results as the plate; two 3-1s and two 2-2s. The Duke of Wellington Lancers won 3-1 away at Chilly Millers, and Sidcup Sleighers had a 3-1 home win versus Crockenhill Villagers. The other Crockenhill winter team, Crockenhill Chequers, hosted Earl Grey with the latter winning 41-34 on points. The fourth cup quarter final was an epic contest which saw GRFC Prancers and Ditton draw 2-2 on games and 40-40 on points! A deciding match had to be played which GRFC Prancers eventually won 13-7 to secure their semi final place.
The Cup & Plate semi final draws are below, with the fixtures to be played on the evening of Wednesday 21st January 2026.
