April Weekday Over 60s Doubles Report

The over 60’s competition held at Hartley on 24^th April, an open event, was very well attended with 48 players playing in 24 doubles teams. Weather was warm and sunny with a fine blue sky. The format of the day was 2 timed games of 45 minutes in the morning followed by an hour for lunch. This was followed at once after lunch by the popular 10-minute jack throwing competition, this month to win Percy Pig party time sweets, Percy pig carrier bag, and Hogs back ale. Then 2 timed games of 50 minutes the final game having the jack replaced with a Percy pig party time sweet. The day started at 10:10 am and finished, including presentation of prizes, by 3:45pm.
