The Kent Mixed Doubles Championship only attracted a very disappointing turnout of three teams. This year’s low turnout is something the KPA are aware of and will be discussing at upcoming meetings. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas to improve attendance then please email a member of the committee.

The format of the day was a double round robin, with every team playing each other twice. The champions, winning 4 out of 4 matches were Becky Edwins & Tim Edwins from the Earl Grey. Dean Ashby & Alex Spillett of Meadow were second, and Dennis & Jean from Hartley finished third, with a couple of narrow losses that could have gone either way.

Thanks to Hartley PC and Craig Poynter for setting up and getting the venue ready for the day.

The next Kent Championship is the Singles & Shooting event on Sunday 20th September, where we hope for a much improved turnout!
