In a constructive meeting, the Kent Playing Committee met at Hartley Country Club on Monday 20th October. The Playing Committee consists of Carolyn Edwins (Earl Grey), Dean Ashby (Meadow), Keith Atkinson (GRFC), Barry Menzies (GRFC) & Steve Wells (Crockenhill). The following topics were discussed:
- – Reflections on format of Kent Regional Qualifiers – if you have points to make please speak to a committee member or send an email
- – Awareness that Regional Qualifying Series rules 2026 may need to be adapted
- – Wide ranging discussion on strengths at Inter Regionals and areas to improve for Championship, Challenge and Junior squads using Managers’ reports
- – Attendance at KPA events – ideas to increase numbers playing
- – Use of website and Facebook
- – Youth Development Officer
The main points and ideas will be taken forward to the full Management Committee meeting on November 6th.
