Seven teams entered the Kent Triples Championship on a warm, sunny day at the Railway Inn. After a short discussion with the team captains it was decided to run a round robin format as the fairest way to run the day, giving everyone 6 matches. All games were played in competitive and good spirits.

Going into round 5, the two teams of Becky Edwins, Tim Edwins & Steve Brown and Dean Ashby, Geoff Booth & Jason White had both won all their matches so far, and were due to play each other next in what proved to be a pivotal match. Dean, Geoff & Jason raced into a 7-0 lead but Becky, Tim & Steve dug in and got a foothold in the game at 5-7. The next ends were nip and tuck, with team Becky going into an 11-10 lead, and then getting the final 2 points they needed to win 13-11.

Team Becky went on to win their final game 13-9 to see them as champions with 6 wins out of 6 on the day! Runners up were Team Dean with 5 wins. Third place was taken by Keith Atkinson, Trevor Gordon & Richard Wenban on 4 wins. Teams in fourth / fifth places were separated by points difference, and teams in sixth / seventh place only separated by points scored! The full final positions are below, along with photos of the winners, runners up and third place.
