On a warm and sunny day 10 teams participated in this competition. With representation from clubs as follows; Hartley four teams, Crockenhill four teams and New Ash Green two teams.
Three timed games of 50 minutes each were played in the morning, followed by lunch for an hour and then two timed games in the afternoon. All play finished by 3:30pm. Round 1 was seeded by division played in, round 2 onwards winners played winners etc. Pistes were allocated for round 1, then toss and choose for round 2 onwards, alternating between odd and even piste numbers. The end being played was finished after the whistle, and final placings were determined by games won, drawn, points difference and count back.
The results of the competition were as follows, with all entry fees returned as prize money:

2nd Carol & Roy. 3.5 wins +19 points. £30.00
3rd Linda & Lois. 3.5 wins +13 points. £15.00
4th Andy, Sam & Stu. 3 wins +12 points. £10.00
5th Steve & Pat. 2.5 wins -2 points.
6th Craig & Chris. 2 wins +5 points.
7th Chris & Camilla. 2 wins -6 points.
8th Lyn & Colin. 2 wins -6points.9th Jean & Joan. 2 wins -19 points.
10th Mags & Ron 0 wins -36 points. Furthest from the Jack award!
The competitors really enjoyed the camaraderie of the day and the format, and would like to see more entrants for this event next year. So look out for this event on next year’s calendar!
