The Over 60’s Doubles competition held at Hartley on 16th October, open to all KPA members, was extremely well attended with 30 players playing in 15 doubles teams. The midweek event was blessed with fantastic weather, as you can see from the selection of photographs below.
The format of the day was 2 timed games of 50 minutes in the morning, followed by an hour for lunch. This was followed by a further two timed games in the afternoon. The day started at 10.30am and finished, including presentation of prizes, by 4pm.

2nd – Jan & Dennis – 3 wins – £30
3rd – Neil & Sally Anne – 3 wins – £20
4th – John & Dave – 3 wins – £15
5th – Craig & Sylvia – 3 wins – £10
6th – Reg & Janet – 2 wins – £5

Discussions over lunch revealed that players were enthusiastic about the nature and style of the competition and would like the event to be repeated on a regular basis.
This has been taken on board by the organisers, so please have a regular look at the website and Facebook for details of the next midweek over 60’s which will be limited to 16 teams, so make sure to get your entries in quick when it is announced!
