15 teams gathered on a very sunny early Spring Sunday to contest the first Kent regional qualifier at GRFC. Many thanks to those at GRFC, especially Keith Atkinson, for setting up, getting equipment ready and hosting the event.

This season sees a new format in use – a three round Swiss system in the morning to establish a top 8. The top 8 go into the gold knockout in the afternoon, with the rest in the silver. Consolages were also used for first knockout round losers to help further split the final finishing positions and allocate ranking points.

Congratulations go to the trio of Richard Ruddick, Dean Ashby & Kai Sheffield, who won all morning matches to finish as top seeds. They went on to show why they were top seeds by winning all their afternoon knockout games as well to win the Gold competition, culminating in a 13-8 win in the final against Becky Edwins, Scott Ashby & Jason White.

Full results and ranking points earned are below, as well as some photos from the day.
