Sunday 31st May saw Lordswood PC host the third Kent qualifier of 2026. Lordswood volunteers Gavin, Clive & Suzie did a fantastic job of accommodating us, especially after the long weekend they had last weekend ensuring the PE Titles Weekend ran smoothly too.
We had the perfect number of 16 teams entered, which meant a three round Swiss system in the morning would ensure all teams that won 2 out of 3 matches made the top 8. The afternoon was a seeded knockout with team ranked in 1st place against the team in 8th, 2v7, etc. Teams ranked 9-16 entered the Silver knockout. There were ranking points available at all levels. The result of the morning Swiss is below. (B = BHN, S = fBHN, P = Points).

The afternoon knockouts produced some long matches of high quality, with some shocks and surprises along the way! The final results of qualifier 3 are in the table below:

Congratulations to the team of Geoff, Rob, Russell & Jason who proved to be too strong for the rest of the field on the day. They pick up 30 ranking points and propel themselves into the top 4 overall positions. Runners up on the day and solidifying their current position as number 1 team were Becky Edwins, Tim Edwins & Steve Brown.
Below is the current overall standings, bear in mind that only a team’s best 3 results count from the 4 regional qualifiers. There is still a lot to play for at Q4 on July 5th!
