Sidcup Pétanque Club are sad to announce the sudden death of our much-loved Robert Fraser earlier this month.
Rob joined the Club in 2018 as a novice and was fast tracked to the Reckers side with his consistent pointing. Rob brought his experience as a keen sportsman and coach to the team, and this also showed in his tactical advice. Rob’s patience when the shooters on his team took out his holding boule was legendary, with his ready smile and humour always reminders that it was all part of the game.
He loved weekend competitions and had a particular fondness for the London region events at Greenwich and Crystal Palace, as well as the Kent regionals.
Rob was always great company and enjoyed the social side of club life.
Our thoughts are with his son Jack, daughter in law Holly, and his grandson Rory. He was so proud of them all.
